And even at just 2.0 ghz and with 2.5 gb of RAM, the thing is still as efficient as when I first got it.  I owe it to the black Macbook Profolio I bought from some dude on Philmug for just P500. Though the battery dies on me every now and then (916 cycles and counting), I’ve never lost any files or botched up any of my work projects.

Needless to say, I’ll never buy a PC (for work) again.

One thing I considered writing about when I started this blog, was to try and and talk about the common dilemmas that Pinoys encounter when trying to get into shape. While purists are quick to say that it’s not about the equipment and all about the performance – I love my sports gadgets is all I have to say about that.

If you’ve tried to keep a regular running schedule going, the following assumptions probably fit your persona.

• You probably own an mp3 player.
• It’s probably an ipod.
• You’re tired of getting derailed from your workout because your ipod earphones keep falling out.

I’m not a hardcore runner, but the Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II i got as a surprise from my fiance’ just yesterday was clearly made for them. Here’s my stab at coming up with a brief, non-technical review for these beauties.

As with the other items in Sennheiser’s headset and earphone profile, the Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II packs a very clear and solid punch. You know how audiophiles usually size up their system by playing Clair Marlo’s Till they take my heart away? Well, I was doing the same with El de Barge’s Time Will Reveal just this afternoon and found out right after that I was too loud for my own good. I wasn’t even on full volume. For safety purposes though, just make sure you take advantage of this on a treadmill rather than on a busy street.

In comparison to my previous neckband earphones, the wires on the PMX 80′s won’t easily pop out of the headphone’s more precise grooves. I haven’t tested the headphones while running, but make no mistake about it, these headphones will not fall unless you yank them off.

This convenience however, is also its main disadvantage. Since the headphones were made specifically for runners or any other cardio activity, you’d be hard pressed to find a comfortable position wearing them while leaning on an airplane seat or lying down on your bed. Neckband earphones were built for that sole purpose alone.

If there’s one thing I learned whenever I buy my gadgets, it’s that you will always get more when you pay more. Sure you can save a huge deal when you buy anything from CD-R King, but the payoff doesn’t always apply to every gadget out there. And did I mention they’re sweat proof? If you’re a runner looking for a pair of $60 aural blinders, go ahead and get em’.

I was having lunch at the Galleria today with some former office mates when I noticed something different about their charging station. Not only are these things able to charge mobile phones of different makes and models, the fastfood chain has started providing charging stations to handheld gamers as well!

If you’re the type of person who never leaves home without your PSP or DS, now you know where to go when the batteries start going bye bye.

I’m probably one of those people who text more than they call. Thanks to Yahoo Messenger, the expenses are somehow lessened. However, there are a lot of times when I’d use my Smart line to text instead (After all, I can’t pull out my computer and get an Internet connection anytime I want to).

The messages are always received by the girlfriend on time. What puzzles me are the late arrivals of most (if not, all), of her text messages. We’re not talking about a few hours here — some of the text messages I receive arrive after a day! Imagine what would happen if I had to make a bank account deposit, and the message arrives on a Saturday. Geez.

Mariel uses a Cingular Wireless prepaid line in New York, so I don’t know and I’m not sure if the problem is coming from her end. Before I got my Smart line, I was using a Globe prepaid sim. Back then, I did not encounter any problems.

Does anyone have any answers? Calling the Technographist! Help me spread the word!

Needless to say, this post goes out to all those who felt a slight tinge of lust when the Macbook Air was announced. Your Macbook can still do everything the Macbook Air can, and more! Who cares about a 64GB solid state drive!

As if it isn’t enough that we’re less than a week away from Macworld, Apple unleashes this beast upon us. You sometimes have to wonder, how do these people come up with this stuff?

Been reading this ever-growing thread since yesterday! Hitting me like a ton of bricks!!! That my first dip in the hi-def world w/a tosh a-3(that has yet to arrive Sad) will soon be over before it begins!!!

I guess the best thing to do in that kind of situation is return the HD-DVD player. A simple solution for the consumer right? What the hell will the DVD players manufacturer do in this kind of situation? “I hate to brake the bad news to you but the whole HD-DVD product line has just been scrapped”. One big W-T-F.

It brings back memories of the old Mini Disc format, which was supposed to “replace” compact discs back in the 90′s. The only difference is that the Mini Disc format died a natural death, being reduced to a mere recording medium more than anything else.

Just imagine the amount of resources that were used to perfect all these formats. Too bad there’s isn’t enough room for all of them.
