While we await for the final release of the greatest thing since sliced bread, we’ll gladly settle for its prologue counterpart. We’re so glad to settle, in fact, that Gran Turismo 5: Prologue’s release in Europe has catapulted the game to the top spot on Amazon’s UK site. It holds pole position (that’s #1 in auto race talk, folks) in the PC and Videogames category on the online retailer. Furthermore, Play.com, one of the largest game stores in the UK, is reporting a sell-out for initial shipments.

So many consoles, so little cash (and time). LOL. If it all came down to choosing one next gen platform, I would choose the PS3, only because of this game. Really. If you haven’t seen any videos of Gran Turismo 5, you better go on and check the game’s Gametrailers.com page. I’m sure the game is going to deliver what Sony wasn’t able to release on the PSP.

Maybe the company can sponsor another console and game purchase? After all, this is “work related”.

The game itself costs $59.99. For $30 more, you get all of this instead. What kind of a no brainer is that? I’m sure Sony and Microsoft are wishing this game was an exclusive to their platform. Here’s some real life GTA for your enjoyment.

I’ve never been this excited for a gaming accessory since the Logitech G35 came out (Sadly, I cannot afford it until now). And I don’t even play the guitar! It’s still 2 months away, but I’ll be waiting for it. Hope the fools who price the items at Toy Kingdom don’t charge an arm and a leg.

According to this link, the Philippines will have about 6.3 million online gamers in 2008, in a study that was released by International Data Corporation.

Imagine my amusement when I came across an article in today’s Inquirer. Please pay special attention to the numbers that were mentioned.

The networks are taking different routes to gaming glory. ABS-CBN has its wholly owned unit Amped Games. The unit registered 2.5 million active users for 2007 and wants to double that to 5 million in 2008, said Mitch Padua, Amped Games division head.

GMA is catching up by forging an P800-million joint venture called I-Play with listed conglomerate IPVG Corp., which has an existing active player base of 2.5 million.

Ah, the wonders of technology. We see something different everyday.

Somebody else reported it already, but something like this definitely deserves to be re-posted. The Alienware curved monitor shown here is now on top of my lust list. It’s going to stay there until I find out how much the thing is going to cost.

*Every friggin’ CES2008 video on YT has been taken down. BOO!

That’s utterly disgusting considering how many people have held on to it, but I’m 100% sure that the guys aren’t complaining.

I’d like to think I had a happy childhood. Do you remember how it used to be when you weren’t obliged to get a job, but still had the privilege of choosing a toy or gadget for your birthday? Damn, I certainly miss those times.

On my 17th birthday, no one knew except me that a new Playstation was going to be the newest member of the family. When he found out, even my dad wasn’t the least bit surprised by the demand request, as videogames had already become a big part of my childhood. The same can be said of the people in the office. You wouldn’t even have any difficulty figuring out where everyone’s 13^th month pay went.
