I was supposed to post this before the clock struck twelve on the eve of the 31st, but couldn’t find the right words or pictures to show what a great year it has been. Since the year has already started, I just settled on the title above. After the year that has passed, how could I not be?

When 2008 started, I admit still being somehow “lost” after taking a jump from publishing to the entirely different and yet more diverse world of Internet marketing. Until now, I still continue to be a fan of my former industry and how it has started to evolve. This is how this blog (and another one I shall announce in a later post) came into fruition.  For this, I am thankful.

At the beginning of the year, our team was also given an incredible sales target of $10 million (take note, dollars, not pesos). I’ve never bragged about it until now, but all the credit has to go to my team, Christine, Josh, Maki, and Rico. They’ve had to endure overnighters and phonecalls at 1am (really!) just to get things done. Of course, this also wouldn’t have been possible also if it weren’t for our kickass designers at the office, the other managers, Marc and Houman. Thank you to my family for also understanding whenever I don’t make it in time for dinner. For this, I am thankful.

In November of 07′, my girlfriend Mariel decided to surprise the hell out of me by deciding to fly in from New York a day after my birthday. Until now, I still can’t believe it took 11 months before we saw each other again. And so on September 29th at St. Patrick’s Church on NYC, we got engaged (the big date is of course still TBD :P ). Despite the distance (and the help of modern technology), we still managed to stay strong (sorry about the cheese :P ). For this, I am very very thankful.

It’s been a great year, and I can only hope 2009 is full of more blessings for all of us. HAPPY ****ING NEW YEAR!
