yep, it’s unconstitutional to use the flag as a costume, a dress, etc. diba adidas made that really cool track jacket of the flag? and they had to pull it out from stores asap because they could go to jail for it. haaay sayang. ang ganda pa naman ng jacket na yun.

Hi Adrian,

I’m not familiar with laws regarding the usage of the Philippine flag, so the way I see it, if they had done this to intentionally desecrate what the flag stands for, then they deserve all the punishment that is due.

There’s a saying that it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. This is a situation that may have been indicative of that.

Doesn’t matter whether the coverlines or the controversy of it all made the magazine sold more. Under the constitution, it’s illegal to use the flag as adornment. No ifs or buts.
