Men’s Health All-Terrain Race 2008
For the 3rd year in a row, Men’s Health magazine will be holding its annual All-Terrain Race in Timberland Heights, San Mateo, Rizal. In true Men’s Health fashion, the event is a celebration of people who have embraced the magazine’s lifestyle. The event will take place on June 15, Father’s Day, and promises to trump the past two in terms of participation and prestige.
For those who have no idea what the race is about, you’ll be running up sloping hills instead of level paths. You’ll be biking on rough terrain and encountering steep drops as opposed to well paved roads. Do you have what it takes?
I hope I do. For the first time, I will be joining the All-Terrain Race (Haven’t decided though if I’m going to run or bike). If I find the time to bring my bike up there and train, then I would rather do that, but it may be more feasible to run instead. Why do I want to join? More than the Men’s Health Urbanathlon last November, I helped organize the first two All- Terrain Races with the dedicated events team of Summit Media and Team All-Terra of Club 650.
I was planning to join last year’s race, but had so many logistical duties to attend to at basecamp. So anyone out there who’s up for a little torture adventure, you may want to give this a try. Visit the Men’s Health website for registration details, or visit the Timberland Heighs Club site to see where the race will take place.
Oh, check out the video below from 2006’s All-Terrain Race right after the jump.
This is the video I made in 2006. It made it easier for us to sell the event to potential sponsors ![]()
