Construction had started,8-cottages ( kabanas had been finished already ), of an international quality. Something To Share, Hello!.

Between Sept. 12-to-20th of this month, the United Bicolandia had initiatied the famous ” Penafrancia, the Ina Fiesta ” celebration at Echo Park and churches at Immaculate Heart of Mary and in Carson, St. Phelomena. The traditional fistivity was highlighted with colorful participations from different towns or communities in the Bicol Region, and also, Bishops and priests. Above all, the fluvial procession at the lake Echo Park to remember the travel of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Spain to the Philippines. It was a tremendous SUCCESS at the spiritual-aura of the mahal na Ina. I could not forget the sparkling eyes of the BVM during the mass celebration, that made me encourage to share the gift given me ( the revival of the kundiman songs,the voices of Ruben Tagalog,Cenon Lagman and Ric Manrique, Jr. ) to the Filipino seniors who were at the age of the famous singers ( long gone, but never fade away ).Viva La Virgin!, Viva ang mahal na Ina!.Viva ang mga Bicolanos!, sa Los Angeles, at sa buong AMerica!.

Getting to the prime of an age, our mind wonders or ponders where to stay home to retirement. Always, the end, THERE IS NO PLACE like home!, the place where the umbilical cord been borned. There is “mystical-spiritual value” on this phrase ( which is self- explanatory )… The conclusion become more inviting, when a place like home is glaring, a PRIDE to the international world of tourism, and a place where you can find God ( being expressed by visitors in caramoan ). Truly, experiencing the ADVENTURE of avoiding “city-busy life” causing stress and all sort of different pollutants that the modern civilization had produced, one, or you can find God in its nature’s beauty ( seeing the Almighty’s creation of paradise in the form of many wonders such as: Islets likened to bloom of flowers, cathedral like caves with crystal marble stones, variety of birds flying, lakes and waterfalls, mineral wealth as gold and manganese-iron, ocean floor like mirror, different fish swimming, panoramic view on top of mt. caglago ( the BVM ) and mt.pag-tan-awan and the innocent children playing on beaches, and many more ), there is no other, either spiritual-material-physical HEALING can compare. I think these descriptions are making caramoan a far better place than Boracay in many issues. Through the google map, there are around more than 50-to-64 God’s wealth that the 4th class town can claim, hardly be ALL polluted or disturbed by human self-centeredness.
Maybe Gota or neighboring beaches can, but not all ( this make it unique from Boracay ). To make the place more wealthy and healthy, as real international destination, LEADERS and the town-folks should developed LOVE and Concern and a 24 hour vigilant attitudes protecting the nature’s treasure. Also, in doing this watchful eagle eye, illegal fishing and other VICES can be eliminated making the place THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE!. What the national government should do is help the caramoanon to this ATTITUDE development or building, instead of being exploited. Enough is enough, we are ONE family in this cosmos universe. Please, give a chance to the suffering poor people to rise. We really need CHANGE and be AWAKENED.

im also a bicolana but im not happy with the development of Gota beach. i heard that the townsfolk there no longer enjoy their freedom to enter in Gota beach.they cant even fish anymore and earn a living. i heard that GOVERNOR of camarines sur did not allowed them to enter in Gota if they didnt pay the entrance fee of 150.00. government officials pls help the ilawodnon’s people (Ilawod is the barangay name where u can find the Gota beach)

I have just read the latest Bicol Mail news paper for the month of June 13th., and found out life is still slow in Caramoan, up to the present time. I thought with the development of the International tourism in Gota Beach and other places ( 12 of them, that were greater than Boracay ) would make the town propel in a much higher level of progress, since millions of pesos were handed to the provincial tourism department, by GMA during her tour and slept overnight in one of the Gota’s rest house. I wish the whole story together with the filming of the international-fame “survivor” was not a political grandstanding. The people in caramoan are thirsty and hunger from there relief of poverty. Most of our town’s folk were victims of deception from the power of political dynasty. What are the KING MAKERS of the town doing ?..
Are they contented with this sleeping development and being cheated ALWAYS ?..Be bold and don’t hide your name. You were elected as LEADERS to speak up and fight for what are good of the people. Don’t use the money during election to be elected, and hide the leadership wisdom from fighting against the power of the political dynasty..Sometimes a dream is a failure when we just float them into our minds with a weakening faith and with less action from our elected leaders.

I am a bicolana and was in Gota beach about 2 years ago, before it was developed to what it is now.

With a fellow bicolana female friend and with Tom, a very good friend from Ohio, USA (just the 3 of us as strangers in the place but feeling at home with God, and our driver) we enjoyed the beauty of nature, it’s white sand, tranquil sorroundings with only the sound of the waves, and the giggle of 4 little girls ( innocent creatures) who came later maybe after knowing that there were other people around. . . they also enjoyed the sea. . . there were these four innocent girls and me and my 2 friends and a driver enjoying feedom with the wonderful nature exulting romantic emotions and peaceful thoughts. . .

Somebody from Caramoan told me that now, the residents of the area could no longer enjoy their freedom in the beach as they are not even allowed to pass by, unlike before. Children could no longer enjoy the sea, the waves, the white sand and the wonderful rock formations. . . because of the shooting of the french version ‘THE SURVIVOR” Well, good! This will indeed generate tourism and more dollar for our treasury at the expense of the helpless residents; not bad????

God’s creation is for everyone . . .

I hope Tom, my God fearing American friend who had the impression the we Filipinos are rich in good values, will not feel bad knowing that those poor people near the beach could no longer enjoy the benefits of their inhabited paradise. . .

Paging government officials! Let the helpless’ need and welfare be of concern too.

For the longest time the beauty of the philippine islands have been overshadowed by the negative media reports.filipinos are the most hospitable people on earth,hardworking ,very humble and talented.you can find them everywhere in the world basically because they know how to adjust to every culture and circumstances that surrounds them.misinterpreted most of the time because they know how to fight if they are on the right grounds. let us support phillipine tourism.
