14 Mar 2008I’ve said it time and time again and without bias — if and and when I have a kid, I don’t care where he goes to grade school or college, as long as his high school years are spent in the Ateneo. Without malice (pwera lang kung si Roset – sorry guys, inside joke) it’s where and when almost everything is done for the very first time.

It’s been roughly 10 years since we left our high school classrooms. Things I can still remember about graduation night — Kurt missed the graduation march, and Mike forgot to take a bow (idiot!). What I remember most about March 31st, is how we all decided to promise ourselves that we’d have a dinner somewhere every 2nd Saturday of every month.
Though we haven’t been able to do this as regularly as we used to, I’d like to think that no other class has stayed in touch as much as we have. I’m not talking about just a handful of guys here. For me to be able to comfortably say that, gives me this tingling (senti) feeling inside.
Does everyone still remember driving inside the La Vista grounds just to say hi to dem’ ladies? Doh! How about the YMCA dance at Holy Spirit and Mike’s multicolor undershirt? We also had a soiree at Von’s house, but decided to focus on all his mini motorcycles instead (May nasampal kasi during one of the stupid games). Ibarra got stuck on top of a ride in Enchanted Kingdom for almost 2 hours! There are just too many things to mention.
Tomorrow, March 15th, the group will be having dinner at Saisaki at West Avenue at 730pm. Come one, come all! Here’s to 10 years! (Sabay tulak kay Sol Bautista sa class pic).
*In case you’re wondering, we’re all half-naked in that picture because we dressed up as Igorots for Linggo ng Wika. And yes, that’s me at the near top of the picture. And no, there is no high-resolution image
If he isn't watching, playing, or reading about basketball, he's probably on his PS3 playing it, using a created character patterned after himself.
