Since 2008 started, I decided to purchase a few dumbells so I could do my daily lifting at home. Aside from the fact that it saved me a lot of time (and gym fees), I realized that I didn’t need the heavy plates at the gym anyways. My goal after all, was to become as lean and ripped (ulp!) as I possibly could.
Mind you, I’ve set this goal for myself time and time again.
Up to this day, I make it a point to buy a copy of Men’s Health. I do this not because I was affiliated with th magazine. I do this because nothing was more fulfilling than trying to convince people to lead a healthier life.
I’ve had a copy of the January 08 issue for more than a month now, but it was only this morning that I got to read the annual Belly Off All-Stars special. To those who haven’t read or heard about this, it’s Men’s Health’s annual feature on guys who have made it a point to reach their fitness goals. Want to read on a guy who was able to lose 169 pounds? You can find that sort of stuff here.
Going back to my story, I’ve always been active in sports, but always seem to lose control when it comes to my diet. You know the drill, diet for 3 weeks, and then a cheese pizza comes along, then the diet is thrown out the window. It made me think, maybe it’s time for a change. I’ve always been able to fulfill the physical part of staying in shape, but what good is that if I eat sisig once a week? Lol.
And so today, I declare that I will only eat fish or white meat.
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. Men’s Health Magazine will change your life.
*Agu, Glen, Myron, Omar, Jomike, and Neil, watch out! Haha.
Go go go! You can do it.
