I’m a Tech Polygamist

Sue me for being selfish, but I want the best of both worlds. I’ve been a PC user all my life, and I still am. I just thought getting a Mac for work would make me more productive. With that being said, where do I stand in the Mac vs PC debate?
Allow me to give 12 random points about the whole PC and Mac thing.
- Nothing beats the satisfaction of building your PC from the ground up. It gives you a sense of accomplishment to be able to switch components when you want to.
- The Mac does not crash at all. Nuff’ said.
- The PC is tops in the versatility department (It’s easier to hide porn).
- When you upgrade your PC, you don’t have to replace the whole thing.
- You don’t have to upgrade your Mac. Hardware utilization and longevity is just amazing (I know someone who has been using her Mac for the past 5 years)
- Has anyone noticed the number of Virus Software and Pop-up blockers for the PC? That’s one thing I don’t miss.
- Can’t convert a file to the one you want on the Mac? Do it on a PC.
- Mac OS > Windows OS
- Software development is faster on the PC (In other words, piracy).
- The Mac “make you look better at the Starbucks” (Don’t ask me where I got the idea for this).
- Not relevant, but Ipods > Zunes
- And finally, the favorite, walang right click ang Mac — even though you can attach a mouse with a right click
.
Quite simply, I cannot live without both. I’m sure there are a lot who feel the same way.
(As I write this, am looking to replace my current PC videocard, can’t resist Tiberium Wars any longer)

pwede magka-right click ang Mac. Don’t ask me how, our office uses Mac and we can use the right cick with a PC mouse of course.
Oh, and the piracy thing is a necessity for people in our field (architecture). Who can afford a software worth more than a Php 100K for his own personal use that releases a new version every 1 -2 years? A lot of the established firms in the Philippines cannot afford that also.
